“The National Institute of Freedom is an institution competent in matters of supporting the development of civil society, as well as public benefit activities and volunteering, to the extent specified in the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering. The name of the Institute underlines the idea contained in the preamble to the law that the created executive agency is to support the development of civil society in Poland by strengthening the organized and voluntary activity of citizens for various socially important purposes, which is to refer to the centuries-old heritage of the Polish community of free citizens and at the same time fulfill the ideals of freedom.” (Source: Website)
